Emergency plan

The local government of Aldein and the Visitors’ Centre Geoparc Bletterbach are working on an emergency plan. This happens in close collaboration with several South Tyrolean Emergency Services.

Last year about 60,000 persons visited the Bletterbach Canyon. A further statistics carried out in July and August revealed that more than 500 persons per day walk through the canyon in high season. Consequently, the risk of a real emergency needing fast and competent help increases.

Necessary prerequisites for safe hiking in the Bletterbach Canyon are fine weather, good shoes as well as a realistic judgement of his own fitness and health.
